Heart Wide Open

What to do when I feel so vulnerable
On edge, desiring escape, to run and hide
Joy and hope push the fear aside
Again doubt flies, will me kill we?

What to do when I feel so vulnerable
Fragile, wanting the safety of a heart hardened
Memories of pain, sting of rejection, love abandoned
Fear inside cries, will we kill me?

What to do when I feel so very vulnerable
Nothing
Just feel
Tenderness stings
Wide open, heart unsealed
Now love thrives, we thrills me!
